At Tatler last year we hosted Jason Mesnick on his dinner date during his visit with The Bachelor programme.

Located in central Queenstown, Tatler is a romantic restaurant steeped in history. Originally built in 1863, the two level building has been carefully restored and welcomes guests to a warm, wooden interior with many original features still in evidence.

Tatler offers bistro style dining downstairs with lake views from the outdoor tables.

Upstairs there is cosy fire-side dining in the Spectator Room with
lake views from the adjacent balcony.

For Valentines Weekend 2010 Tatler is offering a romantic five-course menu available on the evenings of Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February.

Grilled beef eye fillet on truffled potato mash with sautéed wild mushrooms,
green beans with crispy bacon bits and pinot noir jus

Seared yellow fin tuna steak on a bed of vermicelli noodles, crisp Asian greens and a sweet soy-wasabi dressing, topped with a grilled king prawn
or
Supreme corn fed chicken breast filled with a home-made fruit chutney, placed on a baked walnut polenta cake with buttered brocolini and finished with boysenberry coulis

Dessert
Assiette for two featuring white and dark chocolate mousse, espresso crème brûlee, lime and raspberry panna cotta and macerated strawberries
