Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar
Prime is a stylish, modern restaurant and bar in central Queenstown, overlooking Lake Wakatipu. The restaurant features stunning lake and mountain views through floor to ceiling picture windows.. Elegant lighting and décor create a welcoming ambience, by day or night. Cleverly positioned curtains and furniture divide the large floor space into several intimate areas and these can be moved around to accommodate one large event, making Prime the ideal venue for both large and small groups. Prime is an upstairs venue with one entrance to Rees Street with a lift, and one entrance to the lake walkway. A partially-covered balcony overlooks Rees St and is ideal for barbecues and outdoor seating. Prime’s chef uses fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, organic where possible. The a la carte menu includes a range of char-grilled steaks and there is also a wide array of tempting seafood and vegetarian options. For groups of 20 or more, we suggest choosing a set menu. A variety of set menus are available, along with wine and beer options, suitable for small or large groups. Prime is an ideal venue for conferences, gala dinners, presentations, concerts, cocktail parties, barbecues and weddings. Although Prime can seat 170 guests, for groups larger than 40, we ask that they take exclusive use of the restaurant. We don’t charge a hire fee at Prime but instead suggest a minimum food and beverage spend outlined here. Key Points about Prime

Thank you so much. Everything ran so much more smoothly than we could imagine! You guys were OUTSTANDING. I have not heard one negative comment at all We have had sooooooooooo much feedback on the meal in fact one person said it was the best 'wedding food' they had ever eaten!
I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN!!!!! We had a wonderful night – it was an absolute roaring success. Thanks so much for the great job you did in organising. We will definitely use Prime again. Jo, thank you for all your assistance in the lead up to the [client's] conference for their final night dinner and please pass on our thanks to Tania for her assistance on the night – she’s a real gem. The group had a great evening at Prime. Although some of them ventured off a little earlier than expected, there were certainly a number that carried on and had a few drinks for those that went home early! Tania and the team were superb and they certainly looked after the group (and us) which was great!
